The visitor becomes fully acquainted with the profession of geology, its requirements, and the methods of conducting research in the field of Earth sciences. This section aims to present the evolution of geological map preparation—from early techniques such as the use of aerial photographs and stereoscopes to modern methods involving satellite imagery and drones. It also covers the progression from hand-colored maps to maps produced using computer software. Several historical maps from Iran and around the world, topographic maps, and old instruments used in map-making are also displayed.
