Coin Display Table

The ancient coins displayed in the showcase on the first floor of the museum park are the result of field investigations and sampling conducted by geologists, most of which were discovered at the bottom of mines or during geochemical sampling carried out through panning operations. After initial identification and documentation, these coins were restored at the Astan Quds Razavi Museum.

Some of these coins are extremely old—for example, two half-coins made of silver date back to the Umayyad and Ilkhanid periods. The inscription “La ilaha illa Allah” can be seen on the coin from the Umayyad era, which can be observed more clearly using the magnifying lenses installed on the showcase. Additionally, the green buttons designed on the display allow you to view both sides of each coin while it rotates.

Most of the other coins are made of copper and are commonly known as fulus. Natural gold specimens are also visible in this showcase.
